Cool As Hell Theatre interview with Peter Q. Parish & Sarah McKereghan
RIPE Theatre is a collective of artists who produce original, ensemble-developed work and new plays. It is our mission to create theatre that inspires a sense of awareness and curiosity about our society.
Rational-based on, or derived from reasoning. Irrational-contrary to reason; senseless; absurd. Planet-a large, opaque, nonluminous mass. Earth-the large, opaque, nonluminous mass on which we coexist. Theatre-dramatic works of art. RIPE Theatre
Theatre for the mass
RIPE Theatre was founded in February of 2000 by Noah Kelly and Sarah McKereghan because as artists we were hungry. After years of acting in "traditional" productions we found ourselves artistically unsatisfied and wanting more. So we returned to the roots of our education which focused on a process driven approach to creating original, self-produced theatre.
By writing and performing new material integrated with communication arts, we aim to connect with a broader, more diverse audience.
"If you have yet to experience RIPE Theatre, you are missing one of the most theatrically adventurous companies in the area."

RIPE's unique style “maintains the immediacy and accessibility of sketch comedy, along with the depth and exploration of a well-written play. These folks are good.”
