Vacant Theatre Company presents

Wacky Pie!

The Vacant Theatre Company presents their debut performance with Wacky Pie. Written, Produced, Directed and Acted by Sarah McKereghan and Noah Kelly.
Wacky Pie is a mixed up collection of sketch comedy pieces written and developed by Sarah McKereghan and Noah Kelly. They have collaborated their talents to bring you a smorgasbord of original characters birthed through improv. It's the relationships between these characters that puts a slightly slanted social comment on how we deal with ourselves and each other on a daily basis. Eavesdrop on the fetish girl and the momma's boy on a first date. Be a guest in the home of Ralph and Victoria, a 70 year-old married couple. Watch Belinda start to crumble as she and her fly, Musca, tackle the tribulations of buying a new dress. Put together those ingredients and more and you've got a delicious mess of haw-haws that VTC calls Wacky Pie.
The Vacant Theatre Company is comprised of writers, directors and performers of original theatrical productions. It's founders, Noah Kelly and Sarah McKereghan met at Humboldt State University and it was art at first sight. They went their separate ways after graduation, but found each other years later and began working on their dream of building a theatre company based on original work and social commentary. That company is the Vacant Theatre Company. It is their mission to inspire community and self realization. By utilizing local writers and performers, VTC hopes to bring forth a conscious level of social awareness and respect for all elements of the human condition. Co-founding the Vacant Theatre Company together has fulfilled one of Noah's and Sarah's theatrical goals, and they hope this will be the first of many performances to come!

* Note: Vacant Theatre Company was RIPEs original name. During the dot com frenzy in the San Francisco Bay Area, space was hard to come by. New dot coms were offering more money (lots more) to landlords than Theatre Companies could afford and the space crunch in San Francisco took the arts by the throat. The name Vacant Theatre was based on the idea that wherever there was vacant theatre, we would be there to fill it. After this show when the dot coms started to fail, we revisited the name, not wanting theatergoers to think vacant theatre refered to a lack of audience.
